Financial typesetting and printing for an annual report
We’ve worked with a leading investment fund manager for several years, financial typesetting and printing their reports, brochures and supporting documents. Recently we recreated their annual report, delivering everything from typesetting to layout and creating data visualisations.
The most notable change we introduced was to bring the key financial data and headline figures together as a two page inside cover spread. Previously contained within the body of the report, these are now presented in a more impactful format, allowing shareholders to view the information at a glance.
The client requested their brand colours be recreated exactly, which requires careful management on press since the interaction of different inks and papers can alter the exact hues. We used the Pantone Matching System to achieve a precise brand colour, and selected the correct colour profiles for the paper type to ensure faithful reproduction in print (find out more in our article on printing inks).
Both cover and text pages were printed on triple coated Revive Silk. This is a 100% recycled stock, which nonetheless has a super smooth finish and brilliant white colour, making it perfect for dense figures and data on many of the text pages, as well as the photography on the cover.
A silk laminate finish was added to the cover to protect it from scuffs and smudges and to create a professional look and feel.
