Monitor: personalised printing for 78 different customers
Monitor is financial communications company, which provides publications for accountants to distribute to their customers.
One of Monitor’s products is a quarterly commentary on the Chancellor’s financial budget. For the Autumn 2024 budget, this document was produced for 78 different accountancy firms, and the covers are personalized for each accountancy firm, so that they can reenforce their brand with their clients.
The 24 text pages, which are common to every copy, are printed lithographically. With the total print run numbering well into the thousands, litho is the optimal method since the aluminium litho plates can be reused for every copy.
The covers, meanwhile, are printed digitally, in order to produce a large number of different versions cost-effectively and sustainably. The covers are printed on 300gsm Magno Satin for a high-quality feel, and gloss laminated, providing a smart, protective finish that will survive onward shipment to the accountants’ customers.
With the importance of the budget to accountancy firms and their customers, the Budget Summary is produced at pace. Artwork arrives at Park around midnight on budget day for overnight printing. By the following afternoon, the magazines are printed, folded, stitched, trimmed and packed into 78 separate consignments for speedy delivery to Monitor’s accountancy clients.
