Vittles: food magazine printing
Starting life as a London-based substack back in 2020, Vittles magazine launched in 2025. Focusing on modern food and culture, they go beyond the surface level of restaurant reviews and recipes to take in politics, economics, and media commentary, all served with a trademark wit and depth of analysis.
A nostalgic visual language, fusing 70s-style painted illustrations with tongue-in-cheek photography, is presented in a 260 x 210 format that gives Vittles the look of a time-honoured coffee table title.
The cover of the latest issue, which playfully celebrates the death of food writing, is printed on Magno Satin, a triple-coated silk finished stock, made even more luxurious with a silk laminate finish.
Vittles still lives up to the best expectations of a food magazine. You’ll find sumptuous food photography inside, alongside articles on film releases, on the state of food writing, and on untranslatable words, all seen through a foodie lens.
The text pages are printed on Magno Volume, a high bulk stock with a luxurious thickness, that combines the feel of uncoated stock with the image reproduction you’d expect of coated stock.
